Frequently asked questions

How FNB works — for the people buying, and the suppliers they buy from. Something not answered here? Write to hello@fnb.com.sg.

For buyers

What is FNB?
FNB is a search directory of food and beverage suppliers in Singapore — importers, distributors, wholesalers, producers and service suppliers, with their products listed so you can search by what you need to buy, not just by company name.
Is it free? Do I need an account?
Searching, browsing and contacting suppliers is free, and no account is needed for any of it. Accounts exist only for suppliers managing their own listings, and for our team.
How do I find a supplier for a specific product?
Type the product into the search box — a brand, a generic ("tonic water", "frozen berries"), or a supplier name. Results show matching products with the supplier who carries each one, and every supplier page lists their full catalogue with filters by brand and type.
How do I contact a supplier?
Use the enquiry form on their page. If the supplier manages their listing, your enquiry goes straight to them; if they have not claimed it yet, we relay it to the best contact we have for the company. Either way you deal with the supplier directly from there — FNB is not a middleman and takes no commission.
Why do most products say "price on request"?
Trade prices are the supplier’s to publish, not ours. Most Singapore wholesalers quote per customer — volumes, delivery and terms all move the number — so listings default to price on request and the enquiry form is the fastest way to a real quote. Suppliers who choose to publish prices have them shown automatically.
What do the badges on supplier pages mean?
"Managed by the supplier" means the company has claimed its page and maintains it. "Verified" means the record has been checked — by the supplier themselves or by our team. "Unclaimed" means the listing was built from public sources and the company has not taken it over yet; the information is still real, but the supplier has not vouched for it.
A listing is wrong or out of date. What do I do?
Email hello@fnb.com.sg with the correction and we will fix it. If it is your own company, claiming the page is the better path — then you control it directly.

For suppliers

My company is already listed. How do I take control of the page?
Open your company page and use the claim link on it. You sign in with a six-digit code sent to your email, tell us your role, and show a connection to the company — an email on the company domain, a business card, or a company document. A person reviews every claim, usually within two working days, and emails you either way.
My company is not listed. How do I get on FNB?
Use "Add a supplier" and submit the company details. Listings are free. New submissions are reviewed before they appear, so what goes live has been looked at by a person.
What can I do once my claim is approved?
Everything on your page: edit the profile, add contacts, upload your catalogue, add and edit products, publish or unpublish them, decide whether your prices are public or on-request, and receive enquiries directly.
Can you import my price list for me?
Yes — a PDF or spreadsheet price list is how most catalogues here started. Send it through the enquiry form or to hello@fnb.com.sg and we will load it; you can then correct anything from your dashboard once you have claimed the page.
Should I include barcodes (EANs) with my products?
Please do. A barcode identifies your product exactly, which makes it findable when buyers search for the canonical product rather than your exact wording. There is a barcode field on every product in the dashboard, and a column for it in catalogue imports.
Do my prices have to be public?
No. Pricing visibility is a single switch you control: keep every price private (buyers see "price on request"), or publish your list. You can also keep individual products private while publishing the rest.
What does listing cost?
Nothing. Being listed, claiming your page, and receiving enquiries are free.

The data

Where does the data come from?
Three places: public sources (company registries, supplier websites and published price lists), suppliers themselves once they claim and manage their pages, and our own review work — every claim, submission and correction passes through a person.
How current is it?
Supplier-managed pages update the moment the supplier saves a change. Public-source listings carry a "last checked" date where we have verified them, and corrections sent to hello@fnb.com.sg are applied by hand.
Why does a supplier show fewer products than they actually carry?
We list what we can source: a published price list, a claimed catalogue, or products the supplier entered. If a supplier carries more than their page shows, the fastest fix is theirs — claim the page and upload the current list.
Can my company be removed?
If you want your listing amended or taken down, email hello@fnb.com.sg from a company address and we will act on it.
