The Whisky Store / Planet Spirits
The Whisky Store is a Singapore whisky importer, wholesaler and retailer operated by Planet Spirits Pte. Ltd., part of TSH Corporation Limited, the group that runs the Quaich Bar whisky bars. It began in 2005 as a retail kiosk in Tanglin Mall run by Khoon Hui and Joyce, who in 2007 opened Quaich Bar, which the group describes as Singapore's first dedicated whisky bar. The Whisky Store imports whiskies from boutique distilleries in Scotland, Ireland, South Africa and India and from independent bottlers and wholesalers in the United Kingdom, together with other spirits, wines and liqueurs, many of them held under exclusive agency in Singapore. It buys full casks of whisky for its own single-cask bottlings and bulk sales (in 2020 it released 257 bottles of a 26-year-old Ardbeg from the Islay Giants series) and offers a sourcing service for casks and for specific labels and ages. It sells wholesale to bars, country clubs, hotels, restaurants, companies and individuals buying in volume, and has run an online shop since 2020. The group also organises Whisky Journey, a whisky exhibition held at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre since 2022, and its bars include Quaich Bar Collector at Waterfront Plaza, Quaich Bar Avant-garde, Quaich Bar Wanderlust, The Other Room at Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel, Signature Reserve at The Fullerton Hotel and the Capitol Cigar & Whisky Lounge.
